The Guild of All Souls

Prayer for the dead has always been a part of the Church's prayer, both public and private. This Guild exists to pray for the repose of the souls of the departed, not just members of the Guild, but for all the departed, especially those who otherwise have no-one to pray for them.

Members are encouraged to pray for the souls of the departed every day, and a requiem Mass is said every day of the year in the Guild's chapel, in the grounds of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, and in other churches as and when possible. The Guild meets in Cambridge at least once per quarter to sing Vespers from the Office of the Dead, followed by Benediction.

This Guild is the oldest in continuous existence in the Church of England1 and membership is open to all baptised and communicant members of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church; anyone, however, is more than welcome to attend our offices.
