Lent Courses

These usually take two forms at LSM: firstly, a course of sermons at the Sunday morning High Mass; and secondly a series of meetings on a weekday evening. Anyone is welcome to attend the Wednesday evening course: you do not have to be a regular worshipper at LSM.

In 2011, the Sunday Morning Sermon Course is on the theme Key Texts in the Epistles, and the programme is as follows:

March 13::The free gift in the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many (Romans 5.15)
The Revd Canon Giles Fraser, Chancellor of St Paul's Cathedral
March 20:Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness (Romans 4.3):
Chris Griffiths (Westcott House)
March 27:We rejoice in God through Our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we have now received our reconciliation (Romans 5.11):
The Very Revd John Hall, Dean of Westminster

April 10:He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit which dwells in you (Romans 8.11):
The Revd Christopher Woods, Chaplain of Christ's College

The weekday evening meetings this year are on Wednesday evenings in the Lady Chapel, beginning at 19:30. The theme is The Use of the Bible through the Christian centuries and the detailed programme is as follows:
