Lent Courses

These usually take two forms at LSM: firstly, a course of sermons at the Sunday morning High Mass; and secondly a series of meetings on a weekday evening.

In 2008, the Sunday Morning Sermon Course is on the theme of relating specifically to those who disadvantaged, and the programme is as follows:

February 24:Sister Frances Dominica, Founder and Trustee of Helen House Hospice.
March 2:The Rev'd John Nicholson, Chaplain of Fulbourn Hospital.
March 9:Fr Andrew Greany.

The weekday evening meetings this year are on Wednesday evenings, beginning at 19:40, following a Bring-and-Share Supper at 19:00. The theme is Strangers Recognised and the detailed programme is as follows:

February 13: The Church as a Community of Strangers.
February 20: God as Stranger.
February 27: The Stranger who is Myself.
March 5: Healing Encounters with the Stranger.
March 12: Welcoming Strangers.
