Pilgrimages, Quiet Days and Retreats

It is the custom at LSM to begin the church's year with a quiet day or short retreat at the end of the first week of Advent, leading up to Advent 2.

During each year three or four pilgrimages are undertaken, some as day trips and some more extended. In May/June each year there is a Parish pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham (in 2008, this will be on May 31). Other recent pilgrimages have been to St Alban's Abbey (October 2006) and to the Holy Land (January 2007). In October 2007 there was a pilgrimage to Boston and Lincoln, from which photographs are now available.
