Serving at LSM
There are about twenty servers – men, women, boys and girls – at LSM, and they play a vital part in the dignified, yet unfussy, presentation of the liturgy. At High Mass and Sung Mass, the serving team consists of MC (Master of Ceremonies), thurifer (and sometimes a boat-bearer), two acolytes and a crucifer; there is also a server at the daily Mass on weekdays.
Anyone interested in becoming a server should contact the Vicar or Andrew Wardill, the Head Server; training is given before a new member of the team serves for the first time.
