About LSM

Welcome to the web presence of Little St Mary’s (or St Mary the Less), a medieval parish church in the heart of the ancient English university city of Cambridge with a large and growing congregation. The main Sunday service is the 10.30am Mass, which is usually followed by tea or coffee (and sometimes other refreshments). There is excellent provision for students and families and we have a strong commitment to social action.

The Mass is celebrated and the offices of Morning and Evening Prayer are said every day of the year in LSM, and the church is normally open every day from 7:30am to 6:30pm (or later for services and events). We look forward to welcoming you in person soon.

Why ‘Little’? Because just down the road is the University church, Great Saint Mary’s. We are smaller, but higher.

The foundation and heart of our Mission as the People of God in LSM is our Eucharistic and Sacramental life, in which we are built up as a community in Jesus Christ, seeking to worship God in the beauty of holiness and to serve Him in those in need.
