Canon Anna Matthews RIP

In immense sadness we mourn the death of Anna Matthews, Vicar of our neighbouring parish of Saint Bene’t’s, a faithful and exemplary priest and a very dear friend to all of us at LSM. Following her Funeral Mass in Ely Cathedral, Mother Anna has been buried in land hallowed by England’s first martyr, at St Alban’s Cathedral where she served as Precentor from 2006 to 2012. Please continue to pray for the repose of Anna’s soul, for her husband Stephen, for all her family and many friends and for her congregation at St Bene’t’s.
