Pilgrimages, Quiet Days & Retreats
LSM regularly undertakes pilgrimages, either as day trips within England or more extended visits further afield. In the past we have visited Westminster Abbey, Glastonbury and the cathedrals at Lincoln and St Albans.
More distant destinations have included the Celtic shrines of North Wales, Rome, Oberammergau for the Passion Play and following the Camino or Way of Saint James, through France and northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. LSM pilgrimages visited the Holy Land in 2007 and 2018.
Parish retreats have been held at the Benedictine Abbey of Worth in Sussex, and jointly with our Belgian linked parish at the Trappist monastery of the Mont des Cats in northern France.
